We got a long holiday due for the Eid-ul-Adha. That's why I think we have to use this vacation and we decided that we all are going for a little family picnic. Though it is summer season so it's the perfect time for visiting any kind of waterfalls. But also we don't want to go far from the city. We decide that we are going to visit the Khaiyachora falls in Mirsharai and this fall is not so far from our location.

We are hiring a mini microbus for our journey. In the early morning, we start our journey on the way to Khaiyachora falls. Our children's enjoying this trip so much cause this place is not so far from the city and it does not take much time to reach the falls. Due for the Eid holiday we don't face any jam in the road.

The surroundings of Khaiyachara is so admirable. There are so many tea stalls and restaurants for the tourists. Travelers can keep their backpacks into the restaurants and they can also preorder the foods in those restaurants if they want some special food. The villagers are very friendly with travelers. They try their hard to help the tourists.

The green color of the hill and the clear water of the fountains have been collected together in Khaiyachara of Mirsharai. The beauty of the country is charming to see the picture of a beautiful aesthetically drawn picture. The zigzag hiking path, the golden rice field, the green color of the two sides and the rimjhim sound of waterfalls just fulfill the life. This is an incredible game of nature. It cannot be seen without seeing it.

Many people came to Khaiyachara in the first phase and came back to the wet water. But from the first step, all the fun started! On the left side of the first step, a vertical wall has emerged, it has to rise, sometimes with roots, legs with different small holes. At every moment you will feel that you fall asleep. In this way, you will be gradually coming up with various challenges in different steps. Sometimes you can get two natural ponds on the way. You can get up again and again in a few hour times. But coming down is another adventure special.

Awesome Place, on this trail we can find few Big Waterfalls which are amazing. And also we can see some Underground deep cave filled with water and fresh water natural pool. Yeah if you want to go to the 1st step of the waterfall you will have to climb and the trail is little bit Dangerous.

It was really a great journey for us. In one word I only can say that it’s a dangerous and adventurous journey in my life, really!

If you want to go to Haja Chora Waterfall, at first you have to go to Khagrachari by bus. From Khagrachori, there is regular bus service to Dhiginala. After reaching Dhiginala, you have to take a bus from the bus stand. This waterfall situated in Dhiginala – Morisha road. Ask local people for choosing the right bus. 10 number waterfall is very common among local people. The bus will take you to 10 Number Police Post.  Then you have to walk a little to reach the waterfall. There is a little water trail beside the road and after 10-15 minutes walk, you can see the waterfall.
You can stay in Dhiginala or Khagrachori.T here is many hotels in Khagrachori and Dhiginala with low facilities where you can pass the night. There is no arrangement for eating or eating around the Haja Chora Waterfall. So during go to the fountain, you can take some dry food and sufficient water.

This fountain has become very attractive especially to tourist of Sajek. A wonderful place Haja Chora Waterfall fountain to see hang out among Sajek Valley.  Trees have around the fountain, just enjoy green. Zoom farming in the bordering hill. From Ruma, you can hire a pickup or jeep (locally known as “Chander Gari”) up to Koikhong Jiri. You can also go there by buying tickets for Chander Gari or Bus. The first trip is at 9am. It will take 1-1.30 hrs. Koikhong Jiri to Ruma you have to go by one-hour boat journey. Again Ruma to Boga Lake you should hire a jeep at the fare of Tk. 1800. Two tribal communities named Saikotpara and Darjilingpara are 4 km away from Bogalake. There are some tribal groups live in this area. Darjilingpara is about 1 km away from Keokradong. It will take another 45 minute to reach the highest point of Keokradong and you have to walk through the hills from Boga Lake to Keokradong to go there.

This journey is very much laborious. So keep the confidence. Always carry drinking water and first aid box with you. Show a positive attitude with local people and should respect the tribal culture.
There are some residential hotels in Ruma Bazar, so you have to confirm at first the hotel reservation before going to Ruma, otherwise, you will have no alternative passing the night. If you are fortunate you can get the tribal house to pass the night. There is no mobile network, no restaurant and also no good road communication. You should start your journey early in the morning from Bogalake to reach Keokradong and it may take 5 to 6 hours to reach Keokradong. However, the sceneries of cool air, white clouds, hills, river, and lake are really unique and incomparable. If you go there obviously you can get an enjoyable, delightful and thrilling experience.

 You can enjoy the real scenery of Keokradong then you have to visit in rainy season if you like adventure, winter is the easiest season for the trek. You may take medicine for malaria as this rezone is treated as malaria affected zone. You should wear comfortable footwear, it is a very important issue for trekking.  Make sure it can give you a better grip. You can wear a local plastic sandal if you don’t have anything. But must wear it with socks, better with a couple of socks.  You can get this stores at Kachukhet bazaar or Palwel supermarket. Take a tribal guide rather than a Bengali guide. They are more efficient. Pack all of your goods in an extra waterproof bag or bags.  Fix how much the guide will cost you. The standard rate is 300 taka per day. Don’t take too much load when you climbing up on Keokradong mountain, use a backpack instead of other sorts of a bag. A couple of pairs of dress will be enough. You don’t need any tent because you will get accommodation easily. It is a really easy trek so do not be afraid. Don’t rush, that may occur any accident or trouble. Keep head cool in danger.
